Fomina Yaishnya is in the top 10 of the most interesting gastronomic events and food festivals in Russia in May 2019!

This year the festival was held in the Novy Oskol urban district with the regional event status for the seventh time. There were more than 9,000 visitors, including the employees of Prioskolie group. In the Ostrov urban park, in the shade of the poplars, the fairytale Egg-Town was built in just one day, with its streets, administrative buildings, its own mayor and currency. The guests were invited to visit an unusual kindergarten, the egg school where they teach you chicken-scratch handwriting, theaters Zheltok (Yolk) and Kurochka Ryaba (Speckled Hen) for the youngest guests, the Civil Registry Office for guests over 16, and an authentic Egg-Town hospital. The interactive egg-themed spaces for visitors of various ages surprised the guests with their creativity: egg spa centre, egg fashion show, egg fitness club.

In the Egg-Town museum the visitors could see the certificate of inclusion in the Unified International Register of the Russian World Records Committee. The largest fried eggs dish was cooked in May 2017 at Fomina Yaishnya, using 12,000 eggs.

This year the organisers announced that this record had been beaten. According to their data, to cook fried eggs following a special Novy Oskol recipe 12,002 eggs were used! The fairytale Egg-Town surprised everyone with the extent of the feast and, possibly, on this day another record was beaten: the number of selfies and photos with the characters of the festival and the monument to the Frying Pan.
