The industrial application of the technology of microbial synthesis of lysine, developed by our colleagues, has been highly acclaimed by the Russian Government. A. G. Balanovsky, Director of Zavod Premiksov No. 1 CJSC, together with a group of Company's specialists won the 2018 Russian Federation Government Prize in science and technology!

Pursuant to Regulation No. 2827-r of December 18, 2018, the prestigious award went to 15 research teams which had carried out research projects of high importance in the fields of medicine, energy, geology, materials science, engineering, information technology, construction, biotechnologies, and agriculture. The prize winners include the following specialists from Zavod Premiksov No. 1 CJSC: A. G. Balanovsky, Director; A. P. Baydin, Head of the Procurement and Processing Plant; A. I. Kolesov, Lead Industrial Engineer of Lysine Production Unit; Yu. I. Levin, Head of Automated Enterprise Management System; S. S. Mindolin, Head of Lysine Production Unit; and V. V. Novochenko, Production Engineer of Starch and Syrup Production Unit. A group of scientists from Belgorod, headed by A. S. Yanenko, Doctor of Biology, Professor and Director of the State Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms of the Kurchatov Institute, with the participation of three other researchers from the Kurchatov Institute, received the award for running a project aimed at developing and achieving the industrial application of the technology of microbial synthesis based on the products of deep processing of grain for production of lysine, being a major feed additive for livestock.

As a company comprising Prioskolye Group of Companies, Zavod Premiksov No. 1 CJSC can process 200,000 tons of wheat and produce 55,000 tons of lysine sulphate feed additive, which accounts for over 30% of lysine consumed in Russia and previously procured from abroad. In terms of effectiveness, the product obtained is highly competitive with the world's best analogs.
