Response to a cry for help

August, 15

Over 100 kids from eight villages of the Novy Oskol district attend Yarskaya comprehensive school. In August a state commission will assess the school readiness for the new school year. The building, which was commissioned 30 years ago, is slowly but surely crumbling.

In an attempt to get help to solve at least some of the problems that have piled up over time, the administration of the school asked the management of the Prioskolie group of companies for help.

The canteen, the choreography hall, and the reception hall have a soft roof (850 square meters) that was last repaired in 2003. Currently, the roof has sprung multiple leaks that have made the choreography hall and the reception hall effectively unusable. Meanwhile, the consumer supervision service has issued a resolution demanding that the luminescent lamps in the canteen be immediately replaced with light diode based water proof lamps... This year also saw the start of systematic efforts to replace the old rotten window frames in the school...

All these problems mean that the school may be temporarily closed, says a letter sent to the management of the holding. The letter asks for help with buying new light diode lamps and materials to repair the roof, as well as for help with replacing two windows. The help Yarskaya Comprehensive School asked for was provided in short order.
