All jobs are good, pick whichever you like!

Belgorod has for the fifth time held the regional Parade of Occupations fair. Over 30 vocational schools and anchor employers have presented their achievements in production, education and creativity. Regional universities took part in the fair for the first time.

The event started with a parade of the students and instructors in front of the main scene. "I would like to remind all the participants in this fair who haven't decided what they want to do yet of the old Confucius quote - if you pick a job you enjoy you won't have to work a day in your life. I would really like for all of you to choose occupations that you are really passionate about. And in my opinion, it's got to be something creative," deputy regional governor and head of the department for interior and HR policy O. Pavlova said at the opening ceremony. Statistics say that ten years ago just about 25% of the students graduating from 9th grade were enrolled in vocational schools. Today the situation has changed drastically and about 53 are doing that.

Young people now want to learn a blue collar occupation first and then get a higher education. In practice, this path is better for personal growth. This year, over 3 thousand high school students visited the fair. The region's educational organizations have prepared extended presentations for them: there were workshops and interactive sites, there were amateur performers, products manufactured by the educational organizations could be purchased right there: metal products, florist compositions, pastries... future vocational school students got to talk to HR representatives of the local companies to learn more about the occupations they were interested in. The Novy Oskol agricultural vocational school and CJSC Prioskolie, the company that helps it, had their booth at the fair too.

Representatives of the company told the kids about the prospects of working for the company and possible job openings. At the end of the Parade of Occupations, winners in the professional skills contest were determined. The Novy Oskol agricultural vocational school got a prize in the Best Exhibition Booth Design nomination. Meanwhile, CJSC Prioskolie employees were officially thanked by the Department for Interior and HR Policy of the Belgorod Region for their active participation in the organization of the event!
