The results of the Year of Ecology were summed up during the meeting of the council "The Belgorod Region as a man-made park" under the chairmanship of the Governor E.S. Savchenko.

The most important indicator of the effectiveness of the projects implemented in 2017 was the change in the position of the region in the environmental rating of the subjects of the Russian Federation, which is compiled by the all-Russian public organisation Green Patrol. In the Year of Ecology, the region moved 7 positions up: from the 11th to 4th place!

Within the framework of the regional project "Green Capital", due to efforts of all Belgorod residents 7.5 thousand hectares of green plantations were planted. This is not just the best result — it is an unprecedented result for Russia! At the same time, the governor stated about the wide participation of the public in the majority of the events held: reforestation, oak-tree planting, arrangement of springs, etc. E.S. Savchenko made a proposal to develop criteria for compliance with the standard "The Belgorod Region as a man-made park" for municipalities and settlements of the region and regularly hold contests for compliance with their urban land improvement under this standard.

The final stage of the event witnessed the awarding of the municipalities, enterprises and representatives of public organisations, which became the best of the Year of Ecology. The winners of the contest for the best landscaping of the adjoining territory of the machinery and production yards were among the best. Krasnoyaruzhskaya Zernovaya Kompaniya LLC holds an honourable second place in the nomination "Agroholding Companies".

Together with the Gratitude of the Governor of the region, the staff of the enterprise received a certificate for Siberian cedar seedlings. E.S. Savchenko pledged the winners of the competition to care for the planted trees, so that the mighty cedars would please future generations of Belgorod citizens years later, keeping the memory of what was done today.
