First Lysine Produced in Belgorod

May, 20

The amino acid essential for animals and poultry was produced from the products of wheat grain deep processing by means of microbiological synthesis. All necessary infrastructure was developed for this very power-consuming production. The company's employees mastered the most complicated techniques. Wheat gluten and starch molasses of the highest possible quality were produced at the intermediate stages. A highly productive and safe bacterial strain, developed specifically for Zavod Premiksov No. 1 (Premix Plant No. 1), CJSC by the State Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms, was used for the lysine production. The bacterial strain was specially adapted for the raw materials of the Belgorod Region.

The production of L-lysine sulphate is an important step towards the recovery of the biotechnological industry in Russia. When the company reaches the estimated output, 57 thousand tons of lysine will be launched on the domestic market! This will satisfy needs of not only Prioskolye agricultural holding, but of the most other companies producing poultry meat and pork in and outside the Belgorod Region as well. The product is highly competitive with the world analogues. As for the safety results, it even surpasses them thanks to use of a highly productive and nonpathogenic strain.
