The goals for technical regulations project development shall be human life and health protection, environmental protection, animal life and health protection, prevention of actions misleading the consumers of poultry meat and its derivatives with respect to their purpose and safety as well as providing true information on the products. Another important purpose of the project is to eliminate the contradictions between the regulatory documents of the member-states of the Customs Union as related to imposing statutory requirements to the poultry meat and its derivatives.
Technical regulations of the Customs Union "On safety of poultry meat and its derivatives" impose safety requirements to the poultry meat and its derivatives binding within the territory of the Customs Union as well as related requirements to the production, storage, transportation, sales and disposal processes including labelling and packaging requirements to ensure free flow of the products put into circulation within the customs area of the Customs Union.
