A delegation from the Karachev Region consisting of veterans of the War and Labour, former juvenile prisoners of Nazi camps, and members of Nadezhda (Hope) Veterans Choir went on a distant journey to Prokhorovka Field in the Belgorod Region. The program included not only excursions to memorial places, but also special concert of Nadezhda Veterans Folk Choir, which took place in the Prokhorovka District Palace of Culture.

On the 15th of August the residents of Karachev celebrated the Town Day and the 70th anniversary of its liberation from the Nazi occupants.

The official part of the celebration started from the ceremonial meeting next to the Monument to a Tank Crew Member. An exhibition of retro-cars, which took place on the central town square, was also arranged by Prioskolye-Bryansk, LLC. A tremendous concert dedicated to the holiday was also held on the square.

Stalls with different tasty treats and souvenirs were open on the square all day long. Prioskolye-Bryansk, LLC introduced its products, which are well known to Karachev residents and are of high demand.

The fireworks show closed the celebration. Everybody admired the extremely beautiful bursts of multi-coloured lights.
